Taste Matters delivers all throughout Hong Kong from Monday to Friday 12:00 - 20:00. Delivery regions are Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories including Ma Wan, Discovery Bay, Tung Chung and Central piers to the Outlaying Islands.

We offer delivery to your home, business or office address and other preferred locations.

Upon checkout you will be guided to our easy to read delivery calendar and be asked to choose a time slot for your region and district to take delivery. We offer to place orders of up to 28 days in advance. Should your preferred delivery slot not be available anymore this means other customers have already reserved such dates. You may then simply page down the calendar and choose the next available delivery slot that is acceptable to you and continue your checkout. Should you wish to antedate or change your confirmed delivery time you may contact our customer service telephone 34 828 929) or send an email to We will find a solution to move your order to another delivery date, wherever feasible.

Two convenient ways to shop with Taste Matters. Use our online-store 24/7 or give us a phone call under 34 828 929 and place your order with our customer service representative. Our customer service is available Monday - Friday 10:00 - 16:00. Please note, phone option for order placement exclusively applies to registered and repeat customers only.

Cut-Off Times

You can place orders 24 hours a day. Provided your delivery region is serviced today, orders for same day delivery can be placed until 10:00 am. Otherwise there are no cut-off hurdles. Please note, however, not all delivery regions, namely Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories and Islands are serviced every day. For details please refer to paragraph Delivery Schedule & Time Slots.

Non Delivery Times

Taste Matters does not offer deliveries on saturdays, sundays and public holidays. Corresponding dates will be unavailable in our delivery calendar. We appreciate your regarded understanding. Should a typhoon signal no. 8 be hoisted or a black rain storm warning be issued scheduled deliveries will be unfortuantely delayed. In such an event Taste Matters will contact you and arrange an earliest possible new delivery date with you.

Minimum Order Amount & Delivery Fees

Minimum order amount is HKD 500 and delivery is always free of charge. Deliveries to Ma Wan, Discovery Bay and Tung Chung are free of charge with a minimum order amount of HKD 1,000. For orders below this amount we ask our customers in Ma Wan, Discovery Bay and Tung Chung for a small delivery contribution of HKD 150.

We offer all standard payment options. Upon checkout please choose a payment method that suits you best. Options are Credit Card, Bank Transfer and FPS as well as Check or Cash upon delivery. Apple Pay and Google Pay are additional payment options.

PayPal, Credit Card, Bank Transfer, FPS, Apple Pay and Google Pay payment is due upon checkout. Payment by Check or Cash is due in full upon delivery. After completion of your checkout you will receive an order confirmation email detailing your purchase and delivery time. With your delivery you will further receive a printed invoice copy with packing list for your easy reference.

Confirmation of Your Order

Having completed your order and checkout, you will receive a confirmation email detailing your purchase and delivery time. Please keep this information and review your actual delivery against it. Should there be any discrepancy, please inform our delivery staff immediately or, give us notice within 24 hours by contacting our customer service by phone, please dial 34 828 929, or email to We shall arrange earliest possible replacement or refund to you.

Amendment, Cancellation, Complaint & Return of Order

All dry and regular storage products are carefully commissioned and delivered in re-usable baskets. In light of eco-friendliness beverage packs and boxes may not be re-packed. We offer to re-collect empty beverage crates delivered to you. This service is offered upon next delivery run to you and at no cost.

Perishable & chilled food products are delivered in re-usable cooler bags and specially insulated cooling boxes with ice packs keeping your product nice and chilled all the way to your fridge. Should the delivery address be your office, we recommend to transfer chilled food to a fridge in your office like you would do at your private residence. Home or office, ambient or chilled Taste Matters guarantees your food product is always handled with utmost care and will arrive in the best possible condition and right temperature.

Product Information

At product detail view you may conveniently review information such as ingredients, nutrition, allergens, origin and storage. Additional details like producer information are indicated on the original packaging. Your importer is Taste Matters Company Ltd.

Net Weights

All products are delivered in original manufacturer packing. Respective net weights are shown on the original packaging and in the product information tab on the website. Some products, for example potatoes, selected fish or meat products may carry a price with an approximate net weight indication. With such products, the actual shipping weight can sometimes slightly vary versus the indication in the product description. We rest assure during preparation of your order we always arrange to actually exceed the estimated weight shown in the product description. Should, however, there be a negative variance exceeding customary in trade we shall refund you the difference upon delivery.

Nobody home...?

Upon check-out we offer to select one of several options should at the time of delivery nobody be home. Based on your instruction we may either deposit your delivery adequately packed at your doorstep, hand it over to your Concierge or, return the goods to our premises. With return to our warehouse we will contact you before and after and arrange a new delivery time with you. Goods returned to our warehouse will be handled and stored for you with adequate care. Please note, in some cases a new delivery attempt may accrue an additional small delivery fee of HKD 80.


Taste Matters guarantees its entire range is of highest quality. All groceries are carefully selected and individually checked upon arranging your order. All products are delivered in original manufacturer packaging.

We guarantee minimum remaining shelf life of 4 weeks for ambient storage products and minimum 3 days for chilled products upon delivery. Typically the minimum remaining shelf life will be exceeding our guarantee by days and weeks for chilled products and months and even years for ambient storage products.


Product with remaining shelf life shorter than guarantee is moved out of regular portfolio into Bargain category. All products you find here are offered at a substantial discount including product best before date indication. Please navigate ‘Specials’ segment to find and review great discounts.

All products sold at Taste Matters are delivered in original manufacturer packaging. Best before dates indicate the manufacturer's guarantee for all product qualities at its very best being freshness, scent, taste, flavour, texture, color and appearance, etc. A product in slight excess of its best before date indication does not automatically render it unfit for consumption. When in excess of best before date, in many cases none, or few of the above qualities may have slightly deteriorated from its guaranteed best nature. We recommend to carefully review any such product and to avoid unnecessary disposal of food & beverage.

Products like fresh ground meat showing a use by date, however, must not to be confused with a best before date product and if in excess of indicated date, must not be consumed but be disposed accordingly. However, products demanding a use by date indication are not distributed by Taste Matters.
