Southern France Périgord is the home of this soft cheese. Chaumes goes well with any cheese platter variation and can not only be paired with red wine, like a Bordeaux, but also works surprisingly well with a dry beer. Fresh figs, fig mustard and dried fruits may further emphasize its rustic flavours.
